When can we come to a Preview class?

Please call Tina for the next Preview or Demonstration class.

top

What should I expect from a Preview Class?

The demo class will run for approximately 40 minutes. We will demonstrate a sample of the kinds of activities we have in a normal class. It is a good chance to meet and see the teaching style of the educator and of course you can also get a chance to see the quality of the At Home Materials.

While we will invite everyone to participate in the activities it is wise not to expect too much from your child on the first day. It is not uncommon for a child to attend for several weeks before feeling comfortable in class. Don’t be discouraged – what a child is absorbing in class is often evidenced in the comfort of the home environment rather than in a certain level of participation in class. The most important thing you can do for your child is to be an active and patient role model.

Are there any other discounts available?

I have a second child. Do you have a discount for the Sibling?

If you enrol a second child you will receive a 10% discount off the second child’s tuition only.

To further reduce the cost, Sibling Kits are offered to parents with a second or third child in the same class. (Sibling Kits exclude At Home items that don’t need to be doubled up, such as a CD, or literature book.)

Can I bring my younger child to the class?

Due to limited class sizes and the delicacy of the younger class settings Village and Our Time classes can only accommodate non-enrolled siblings when the sibling is young enough to stay contented in a capsule or stroller. However, emergency situations are considered, so please call if we can help.

What happens if we miss a class?

There is no refund for a child missing a class. However a child who has missed a class due to illness may be able to get a free catch up class at a different location.

If a teacher is sick and a replacement teacher cannot be found, the class will be rescheduled.

How long do the classes go for?

All classes are 45 minutes long, except for Kindermusik for the Young Child which is 60 minutes long.

top

What should we bring?

We do request that toys and juice cups be kept out of sight and that snacks be finished prior to class. Be sure to dress comfortably. Please bring a towel or yoga mat for your child to lie on during certain activities.

Are parents involved in the class?

Yes, parents play an important role in any Kindermusik class. The first half hour of the Imagine That! class, the children attend on their own but family members are invited into the class for the final 15 minutes of Sharing Time.

During class, the most important thing you can do for your child is to be an active and patient role model. It is not uncommon for a child to attend for several weeks before feeling comfortable in class. Don’t be discouraged - what a child is absorbing in class is often evidenced in the comfort of the home environment rather than in a certain level of participation in class. The understanding and consistency of the parent or caregiver in the class and at home are key to facilitating musical learning and growth.

You and your child will benefit enormously from the Kindermusik experience, especially if you make active use of your At Home Materials. Reinforcement and enjoyment of the Kindermusik materials make all the difference in a child’s comfort and security in the classroom.

When should I enrol?

Although you may join our classes at anytime, you should register early since class sizes are limited and many fill quickly. Enrolling at least 3 weeks before the semester begins also ensures that we will have your child’s materials ready for the first class.

A place can be secured (and materials ordered) with a minimum deposit. The balance is required before the beginning of class. [If you need to pay in instalments due to difficulty paying by lump sum then an agreed arrangement for this can be discussed.]

How do I pay the enrolment fee?

Only cheque, cash or electronic transfer will be accepted. Electronic transfer details are available on each enrolment form. All cheques should be made out Tina Bangel. Cheques can be posted to:
14 Wollemi Close Kellyville Ridge 2155
